Prescription Drug Turn-In Program

Do you have unwanted or unused medications around your home?
Then here's an Rx TIP for you!
Umpqua Partners is mobilizing the community to create awareness of the dangers of prescription drug abuse and help combat this growing threat to our nation's youth. In cooperation with the Boys & Girls Club of the Umpqua Valley, the Douglas County Sheriff's Office, the City of Roseburg Police Department, Roseburg Urban Sanitary Authority, Winston Area Community Partnership (WACP), and City of Winston Police, we will join the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) in their second nationwide National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day by holding our 4th Prescription Drug Turn-in (Rx TIP) event in Douglas County.
The Rx TIP event will be Saturday, April 30
Locations: Boys & Girls Club, Roseburg (1144 NE Cedar Street)
Winston City Hall
Time: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
This free event is designed to educate the public, safely rid homes of unwanted medicines, and call attention to the issue of prescription drug abuse.
The Turn-In Event will provide members of our community an opportunity to bring their unwanted or expired medications to a central location for safe disposal. Prescription and over-the-counter medications will be accepted. All medicines should be left in their original containers. Personal information should be crossed out with marker, leaving the name of the medication visible. NOTE: Thermometers, needles, or medical waste of any type will NOT be accepted.
Help protect your family, your community, and the environment by properly disposing of unneeded medications.
